Our Story

Founding Vision

For 35 years, the Community Ministries Resource Centre (CMRC) has stood as a testimony to God’s redemptive work in communities, an unfolding story of faith expressed through action and Kingdom life made visible in the ordinary and extraordinary moments of service, compassion, and transformation.

What began as a simple response to God’s call has become a movement, a community of ministries, partnerships, and people shaped by the Gospel’s call to restore, reconcile, and renew. Through seasons of growth and challenge, CMRC has embodied the truth that God’s Kingdom is not confined to buildings or programs, but is revealed wherever lives are healed, relationships restored, and communities begin to flourish.

Our history is a testimony of redemption, of God reclaiming broken places and people, and of communities rediscovering their God-given dignity and purpose. It is a story woven with faithfulness, prayer, and presence; a journey where the redemptive love of Christ has continually inspired us to care deeply, partner widely, and transform boldly.

Over three and a half decades, CMRC has served as a redemptive property, a living expression of God’s Kingdom on earth, where the sacred and the social meet, and where the Spirit of God breathes new life into people and places. It is a story not yet finished, but ever-renewing, an invitation to all who believe that the Kingdom of God is near, and that communities can indeed flourish under its reign.

A History of Redemptive Work

For thirty-five years, the Community Ministries Resource Centre (CMRC), based in Muldersdrift has embodied a Kingdom vision of restoration, engaging in holistic ministry that addresses the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of individuals, families, and communities. What began as a local ministry has grown into a movement whose reach extends regionally, nationally, and internationally, impacting lives and communities far beyond its original borders. Rooted in faith and shaped by compassion, CMRC’s journey reflects the redemptive heart of God at work through His people, healing, reconciling, and renewing all things.

It is a living witness to the truth that when vision, faith, and steadfast  commitment converge and align, the Kingdom of God finds expression on earth, breaks into ordinary spaces, bringing redemption, restoration, renewal, and flourishing to every place for generations to come.
